Advent Giving Program

Advent Giving Program

IC Parish is known in the community for its generosity and concern for the poor. In past years we have worked with the Holiday Helper program to provide Christmas gifts for needy children here in Marlborough. The city of Marlborough no longer includes this program within the realm of Community Services. The Tri-County United Way recently stepped in to try to fill the void, with their program, Hope for the Holidays. Many parents were unaware of this change and were not able to register their children in time to be sponsored. Over the next two weeks we are asking for donations of new toys/gift items. Tri-County will work with the parents of non-sponsored children to make sure their children have something for Christmas morning.

Suggested new toys/gift items: Lego’s, Barbie dolls, baby dolls, Dora toys, Diego toys, trucks, art sets, soccer balls, Nerf balls, toddler toys, baby toys, children’s books, craft sets, hats, gloves, socks mittens, scarves all sizes toddlers-teens, hoodies in adult sizes men and women. Please place your unwrapped gifts in gift bags under the giving tree.

Monetary donations, or gift cards to stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Toys R Us, iTunes cards or grocery store gift cards will also be greatly appreciated and can be deposited in the locked “Wooden Box” in the vestibule of the church.

All gifts need to be returned to church on or before December 18th.

If you have any questions at all please contact the Parish Office.

Gifts may be returned to:
